    “Collection of the Collection”

Presentation of the new edition by Airbag Craftworks (Kleestadt)

Based on the exhibition “TRADING STYLE – Weltmode im Dialog” designers were invited to develop new limited editions and thereby continue the dialogue with objects from the collection of Weltkulturen Museum.

Inspired by the exhibition “TRADING STYLE – Weltmode im Dialog”, its atmosphere and its sounds, Paul David Rollmann & Julian Jöckel produced three music tracks, which are now released as a limited disc edition in their own label “Workshop”.

Airbag Craftworks developed a matching rucksack with special accessories, which will be presented during the evening and on sale at Museum afterwards.

Since 1995, Airbag Craftworks has designed and produced bags and fashion items for worldwide distribution in their workshop in Kleestadt near Frankfurt.

Philip Berg (Frankfurt am Main) will accompany the evening with vinyl music.

    PERFORMANCE-LECTURE AND PRESENTATION
“IMAGINE TWO RIVERS – The Search for the Elbe-Yamuna Perfume” by Ines Lechleitner (Berlin/Vienna)
    Δ PERFORMANCE LECTURE UND PRÄSENTATION

IMAGINE TWO RIVERS – The Search for the Elbe-Yamuna Perfume”

    Ines Lechleitner (Berlin/Vienna)

“IMAGINE TWO RIVERS – The Search for the Elbe-Yamuna Perfume” is an art project by Ines Lechleitner.

Focussing on the different and complex histories and identities of the rivers Elbe (Germany) and Yamuna (India), Ines Lechleitner developed the notion of a multi-sensorial dialogue, which led to the production of a new scent and artist’s edition. Central to her research are the associations and emotions which people connect to these two rivers.

In a performance-lecture, Ines Lechleitner discusses the process behind the “Yamuna-Elbe Projekt” and launches the perfume and artist’s edition “Imagine Two Rivers”.

“Imagine Two Rivers” was created in cooperation with the perfumer Yogesh Kumar (Vienna) and in collaboration with the project “Freie Flusszone” of the Galerie für Landschaftskunst (Hamburg), initiated as part of the “Yamuna-Elbe Projekt”. Ines Lechleitner was born in Vienna in 1978. She lives and works in Berlin.
