Accompanying the exhibition "healing. Life in Balance"In the reading club "Decolonization as Healing?", texts are read and discussed together that are based on themes from the exhibition "healing. Live in Balance". Colonial continuities in everyday life and how to deal with them are the focus. What role does colonialism play in the museum? How is our idea of nature colonially shaped? What can healing mean?

As part of the programme accompanying the exhibition “healing. Life in Balance”, the participants in this workshop can find out about Qigong exercises for improving their inner and outer balance. Qigong has an all-round effect on a person’s body and mind, and can help us to recognise and regulate imbalances. The questions to be explored include: When am I in harmony? When do I feel that I am in harmony? Is it the same thing? Why am I not? How can I change the situation if I want to?
No previous knowledge required and you don’t need to be especially mobile – just someone who has fun trying things out!

For adults. 6 euros per person plus entrance fee.

“Seeing with other eyes”
Meditative exploring of the exhibition
with Martin Brüger (Meditation teacher, Tibethaus Deutschland e.V., Frankfurt)In this 90-minute workshop, artist and meditation trainer Martin Brüger invites participants to establish mindful contact with self-chosen exhibition exhibits, which can facilitate an entirely individual way of accessing the artworks, objects and contents in the exhibition. The meditative exercises convey an intuitive, mindfulness-based approach to the exhibits and more generally with our world. They provide an opportunity for participants to guide, focus and further attune their own perception so that they can achieve a somewhat holistic perception of themself and their environment.
