Daniel Hewson, South Africa
Daniel Hewson is a Rave scholarship holder at the Weltkulturen Museum. During his stay, he is supporting preparations for the upcoming exhibition “A Labor of Love” (3rd December 2015 – 24th July 2016) and working with the museum’s education department on developing an educational programme for the exhibition.
Daniel Hewson is a young curator and artist from Cape Town, South Africa. Daniel graduated from Rhodes University with majors in Printmaking, Art History and Visual Culture. Following his studies in Fine Art, he completed a post-graduate certificate in Education.
Since graduating, he has specialised in curating in the visual arts field and in arts education, with a particular focus on printmaking. Passionate about cultivating the arts in Africa to ensure sustainability, Daniel believes that comprehensive arts education is crucial in developing the industry.
