David Lau, Great Britain
David Lau was born in Taipei, Taiwan, raised in the United States, and now lives in London. His work is broadly concerned with exploring the intersections between law and anthropology. He holds a master’s degree in anthropology and law from the London School of Economics, a Juris Doctor degree in law from Cornell University, where he was an editor of the Cornell Law Review, and a bachelor’s degree in literature from Yale University. He has worked for international law firms in New York City and London, as well as for the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague. He also previously worked in journalism in Hong Kong. His writing has been published in several publications including Time Magazine and the New York Times.
